“The first thing I really appreciated about Dede was how personable she was and her empathy over the loss of my father. She was acquainted with him and knew about his health issues. She came to the house and gave me information about what I should fix, paint, etc. She recommended several local vendors and since I’m from California this was VERY helpful. Historic, fire-wise and close to the Prescott Courthouse Square, the Hassayampa Mountain Club is a popular place to buy a home.
The Hassayampa Mountain Club is a subdivision in southwest Prescott, Arizona, south of Copper Basin Road and west of White Spar Road. It is not easy to provide distinct boundaries as there are 22 subdivision references associated with the Mountain Club: plats, replats, extensions and income units. Some of it is within the City of Prescott and some in Yavapai County.
However, its history as the oldest planned community in Arizona (founded in 1926) and its location 1-2 miles to the Prescott Courthouse Square and downtown in beautiful mountainous Ponderosa Pine and Oak forest make this area highly desirable.
The 478 homes are as varied as their occupants with small historic registry bungalows, quintessential Prescott cabins in the pines, and 4,000 square foot plus newer construction with views. Prices range accordingly, from the $200,000s to $500,000s with many homes move-in ready and others in need of facelifts or significant renovations.
